Vera Bernard-Opitz, Ph.D., BCBA-D is a Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in Germany, Singapore, and the US. She has assessed and treated more than 1000 children with autism and pervasive developmental disorders in autism research centers rehabilitation centers, special needs schools, and homes. She combines her background in applied research with a passion to find individual treatment solutions based on best practice methods.

She works as international consultant, editor and book author. She has developed the STEP Program, which is now available in English and German as an integrated method of structured teaching and experience-based learning. She assists parents and therapy teams of children with autism through in vivo and online supervision.
