Vera Bernard-Opitz is a Clinical Psychologist and Behavior Therapist who has worked in Germany, Singapore, and the US. She has assessed and treated more than 1000 children with autism and pervasive developmental disorders in rehabilitation centers, special needs schools, and autism research centers. She combines her background in applied research with a passion to find individual treatment solutions based on best practice methods.

She currently works as international consultant, editor, and book author. Her latest books offer parents and professionals a developmentally based, structured, and experience-based curriculum. Concrete guidelines are presented, to match the child’s characteristics to functional tasks and acknowledged treatments.
